Earlier this year Alexia played the starring role of Melanie in Think Before You Drink, a timely and socially relevant film depicting the potential dangers of alcohol while dating. The actress gave a knockout performance in the film where she starred alongside Christopher Tavarez who is best known for his role as Lance Benwick in the Disney movie Avalon High, and Ryan from Big Momma’s House 2.
Last year Alexia put her diverse talent as an actress on display in the role of Alex in the film It Takes a Village. The film revolves around two best friends, Alex and Lindsey, who live on a hippie commune. When Lindsay discovers that she is pregnant she must decide what is best for the future of her child and Alex is the only one she can turn to for support. In the film Alexia acts alongside Alain Washnevsky from the highly anticipated feature film Septembers of Shiraz, which is set for release this year, and stars Academy Award winner Adrien Brody and Academy Award nominee Salma Hayek as well.
It is easy to see from Alexia Bergamin's collective body of work that the actress has had no difficulty establishing her flexibility when it comes to immersing herself in diverse and challenging roles. In addition to film, she has also had tremendous success in television.
Audiences across Latina America, Portugal and Israel will probably recognize the actress best from her performance in the recurring role of Kalu from the award-winning television series Aliados, which is shot in Argentina and broadcast on FOX.
In the show, Kalu, played by Alexia, is one of the romantic interests of Noah, who is played by Kids Choice Award winning actor Peter Lazani. Aliados won the Martin Fierro Award (the Argentinian equivalent of an Emmy Award) in the Best Teen TV Show category, as well as the Kids Choice Award in Argentina for Best National TV Show.
These examples only begin to describe the wealth of experience Alexia has acquired in television and film. Further confirming her diverse interests, she has also recently appeared in some major music videos.
Alexia was a leading actress in the video for electronic artist Zedd’s recent smash hit “I Want You to Know” featuring Selena Gomez. The Zedd album “True Colors,” on which “I Want You to Know” is featured, reached the coveted number one position on Billboard’s US Dance/Electronica Albums chart within the first week of its debut.
Alexia has also acted in several other music videos, most notably, the video for Nicki Minaj’s latest single “The Night is Still Young.” Minaj has gained worldwide fame as a female rapper and is the only woman to ever be included on the Forbes “Hip Hop Cash Kings” list.
Currently, Alexia is preparing for several other projects that will begin shooting over the course of this year. She is now in the middle of the production process for an upcoming series pilot. While she has signed a confidentiality agreement and can’t give many details about the production, she can confirm that there will be quite a few major actors she will be appearing alongside.
Alexia says, “I think that with talent, patience and a lot of hard work, everything can be achieved… My friends say I'm the most persevering person they know!”
This captivating actress has clearly gone above and beyond this statement: Alexia Bergamin is a force to be reckoned with. Watch out as she comes to a theatre near you.
