Throughout his modeling career, Angoston has represented some of the world’s biggest brands. His versatility makes him extremely sought-after, and he is recognized as one of the best Caribbean models right now. He is considered an asset to every company he works with, and has directly contributed to the success of many fashion lines, including the world-renowned United States brand Pendleton, a leading textile manufacturing company known for their woolen clothing, blankets, and their popular flannel shirts.
“Francois has been an extraordinary lead model throughout Pendleton’s catalogs and E Commerce, prominently featured modeling nearly every key item. He presents the brand gracefully and truly enhances its appeal, making for very successful catalogs and look books. He has always been consistent with his glowing charm in every spread, often using his radiant smile to make for very comfortable scenes, and delivering expressive posing that enhances the coziness yet practicality and flexibility of our products in grittier climates,” said Jung Oh, the catalog producer for Pendleton Woolen Mills.
Angoston has modeled a wide variety of seasonal styles for the brand, from holiday winter-wear to casual spring wear. He is extremely versatile, with an extraordinary posing style, allowing him to model any style.
“I always liked the products of Pendleton. They show up a very nice quality and I loved the style of it. It’s a nice combination of classics with modern design. I liked their way of communication and their campaigns. As Pendleton is a very good and big client, I felt happy working with them,” said Angoston. “We always had a big and very nice and friendly team. I felt very comfortable around them and we made up some great shootings. Pendleton is known for their woolen clothing, so the clothes always felt very good on the skin. I loved their fabrics and fit.”
Travelling was a large part of Angoston’s desire to be a model, and continues to be a reason he loves what he does. The ability to see the world doing what he enjoys is a dream come true for the model. He says that with Pendleton, he saw some of the most beautiful places in the United States he had seen so far in his lifetime.
“I love the memories of the places I saw. One day, for example, we shot at the Colombia River and had a great view of the nature there. I’m very impressed by nature and love to see places like that, that are so pure and quiet. These colors make your heart gentle and there is no place for anger there. It gave me peace,” he described.
Not only was the opportunity to see the beauty of the United States part of the appeal to represent Pendleton, the brand’s reputation was enticing for Angoston. He had heard the company treated their models well, and everyone knows their iconic style. He was also excited to work with a catalog producer like Jung Oh, who has a great reputation in the industry.
“Francois has been a paramount factor in the success of our collections for several years now, and this is the reason why we have kept asking him to reprise his leading modeling role. Pendleton has enjoyed ample sales due to Francois’ catalogs, as he brings welcome exoticness to a brand very familiar to everyone, keeping it interesting as we jump from styles. This commercial success that the company has garnered can be partially owed to Francois, as he is an incredible model who enhances every brand he models for,” Oh added.
Angoston’s large contributions to catalogues doesn’t end with Pendleton. In addition to working with world-famous department stores like Macy’s and JC Penney, he recently modelled for Bon-Ton’s catalogues.
“I always loved the country style of their clothing. The button-down shirts really got me. Bon-Ton started in 1898 so they were in fashion business forever. It’s a very big brand here so again, it was a great opportunity for my career and work experience,” said Angoston.
Angoston’s talent in the catalogue was evident, and no doubt contributed to the sales immediately afterwards. Bon-Ton has 267 stores across 26 states, and are known across the country. Once again, shooting for the store allowed Angoston to explore the United States.
“Working for Bonton has always been a great experience. We would shoot in amazing locations in the middle of nowhere,” he concluded. “I loved discovering so many different places here in America. The nature has a lot to offer and I feel blessed to get to see such amazing places while working with an amazing crew. The client always made sure that the work is done smoothly in a relaxed atmosphere.”
