Give Me Some Action is Dayle’s debut eleven song full length release. Recorded in Vancouver with Nick Hope overseeing all areas of production, the album shows a wide range of influences that is held cohesive by Mackenzie’s energetic and passionate voice cutting through all manners of guitar, digital samples, etc. Following a couple of successful tours in Canada, she is already writing material for a follow-up release. Even while Mackenzie is connecting with her fan base (primarily in Canada and Asia) she can’t help but compose new songs. She is the living conduit through which her experiences are filtered into the music which her fans adore. She obviously connects with a female demographic with her positive/fun/confidence message, as did another famous young Canadian artist named Alanis. While her music is centered around being self-empowered in a much less angry manner, Dayle is happy that she is able to communicate to young women and men that they can create their own future just as she has done. Discovering you path is something which Mackenzie has always understood and wishes to relate to her fans. She comments, “Music has given me strong purpose all throughout my life. There has never been a time where I have been truly drifting, unsure of who I am or what to do with my life. Of course, I have had my share of doubts in myself and my career in music, but the times of doubt have always been very short lived. I have always known that music was my purpose in life. Having such a strong sense of purpose has allowed me to take the time I would usually spend trying to ‘figure myself out’ and put it towards achieving my dreams faster.”
Mark Rosner (CEO and manager of Rosner Management Services) recognized Mackenzie’s songwriting talent as well as that of her energetic performances from his first sighting. Rosner also works with Musik and Film Records (known for its work some of music’s most regarded artists, such as Lynyrd Skynrd, Ozzy Osbourne, and Duran Duran, along with many others). Rosner promoted Dayle with a showcase and tour in Canada. He states, “"As one of the top performers under HMP Recording and Development, Mackenzie Dayle was showcased for the HMP Music Showcase ‘Western Canada Tour.’ The showcase celebrated Canadian Independent artists with music performances in front of hundreds of people, including a select group of top music and film industry leaders. Mackenzie brought her trademark stage presence and singing skills that captivated audiences. Her performance was critical to the tours’ success, and her supreme ability as an entertainer made it a no brainer to include her in HMP’s Cross Canada tour. The fact that we had Mackenzie for three tours, spanning 10 cities on both coasts of Canada is testament to her ability to perform and entertain in front of an audience, night in and night out."
